Kathmandu, December 24: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has published a book to depict the post-earthquake socio-economic recovery efforts. The book entitled “The Rising From the Ruins: Experiences in Livelihood Interventions” has been published with support from various organizations.
Releasing the book today, Chief Executive Officer of the NRA Sushil Gyewali said that the NRA gave utmost importance to the socio-economic recovery while carrying out the physical reconstruction. He hoped that this book of experiences and efforts would be a consulting material for the coming generation.
Secretary at the NRA Suresh Acharya thanked all those who have supported in realizing the NRA’s work on the livelihood and income generation and said that the book is an important archive of post-earthquake reconstruction and rehabilitation.
The books includes research-based articles written by heads and representatives of various organizations, including Dr. Bishnu Bahadur Bhandari, the Executive Member of the NRA.
NRA Executive Members Dr. Chandra Bahadur Shrestha and Dr. Hariram Parajuli and representatives of various organizations contributing to the book were present at the function.
