NRA takes action against 11 technicians 

 

Kathmandu, June 30: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has taken action against 19 technicians deployed in reconstruction.

The NRA decided to take action against those technicians deployed in the local governments after they were found involved in illegal activities. 

They have been penalized for taking bribe from earthquake survivors, for giving undue trouble to earthquake survivors, for recommending attendance by forging signature of chief administrative officers of local governments, and for not obeying the directions given by the Central Level Project Implementation Unit and District Level Project Implementation Unit. 

The contracts of the technicians have been terminated and they have been penalized as per the NRA regulations. 

Action has been taken against 12 engineers, five sub-engineers and two assistant sub-engineers. Eight of these technicians were working in Nuwakot, three in Kavrepalanchok, two in Sindhupalchok, two in Dolakha and two in Dhading. Likewise, one technician was working in Bhojpur and one in Solukhumbu.
